This helmet is being made for the joust with real lances.
Here the Gorget plate can be seen taking shape.
Here the skull can also be seen taking shape.The whole helm is hot forged from 12 gauge steel plate (2.5mm)

The cross bar is to stop the sword entering too far into its prey so it can be withdrawn,it is removable.
